Lesson Plans!?!


At the beginning of this school year, I started posting links to my lesson plans when I post images of a new project. I'm more than happy to do that because I think the spirit of art teacher blogs is sharing ideas and making all of our lives easier. I want to know if having the actual plans posted is helpful for anyone. Has anyone been able to go to the Google Docs page and download them? Click on the link below to see all of the lesson plans/presentations that I've uploaded so far. You can also scroll down to projects I've updated recently to link directly to those lesson plans. These are all totally free. No strings attached! I'm not that kind of art teacher!

Art Lesson Plans! 

Once you open one of the lesson plans, you can go to the Google Docs navigation where it reads File, etc. Click on file, scroll down, and you can download as multiple file types.

    Thanks for sharing! The .doc's, .docx's, and .pdf's all opened up, but there were several files ending with ".key". I am not familiar with that type of file, and my computer wouldn't open them.

    Hi Zac! Yes, please keep the lesson plans coming! I have used a few of your ideas last year in my art room and always find you projects inspirational. I have done the recycled magazine bowls with my 5th graders, and right now I am working on a One-Point Perspective Challenge with my 6th graders. I have showed them images from your 5th grade students' one point perspective projects and that helped my students come up with better ideas. Thanks for sharing!

    Jessica (and anyone else not familiar with the ".key" format, it is a Keynote presentation. That is the Mac version of Power Point. I think I also saved the same presentation as a PDF file that can be opened with Power Point. Hopefully that helps!

    I'm going to have to try again. I tried to open a .key file and was unsuccessful and I guess have to look for the PDF. But anyhow, this is so nice of you. I think the creation of a collaborative community is the best result from blogging!
